Where can I find an honest account of the History of Thanksgiving?

I need to know what exactly, as far as we can tell, happened. Was it all peachy? Was there a gunfight? Anything really.

1. Rush Limbaugh wrote a terrific account of the time leading up to the first Thanksgiving in his second book, "See, I Told You So." Whether or not you agree with Limbaugh's politics or not, it's a fascinating story. What we teach kids in school about it is fundamentally wrong. Especially anything about white people killing all the Indians.
